Captain’s Choice, a renowned Australian tour company, is set to revive the iconic Kangaroo Route, offering a unique and exclusive flight adventure from Sydney to London. The journey will be undertaken using a Qantas Airbus A330, with the business class tickets already sold out due to high demand. The itinerary closely mirrors the inaugural flight operated by Qantas in 1947, which required four days and seven stops to complete the voyage with just 29 passengers on board a Lockheed Constellation aircraft.
This modern iteration of the Kangaroo Route offers a two-week immersive experience, featuring special events such as a unique dinner beneath the wings of the Concorde, gallery visits, cooking classes, and more. While the flight durations are relatively short, with the longest leg being from Colombo to Cairo, passengers are guaranteed a top-notch onboard experience akin to international business class standards.
Despite the popularity of the business class tickets, passengers opting for economy class seats will not miss out on premium services as all catering and amenities are provided at a high level. The spacious cabin layout, with only 160 seats sold out of the 269 available in economy class, allows for a more comfortable and social atmosphere during the journey.
