MEETINGS 2025 is set to return to Auckland in June, welcoming business events professionals from New Zealand and international markets to Tamaki Makaurau Auckland. The event, organized by Business Events Industry Aotearoa (BEIA), will feature a two-day exhibition at Auckland Showgrounds on 11 to 12 June, along with an Auckland city experience for hosted buyers on 10 June, including two social functions.
Lisa Hopkins, the chief executive of BEIA, expressed enthusiasm about showcasing major developments, infrastructure investments, and new products from Auckland and across New Zealand. Ken Pereira, Head of Auckland Convention Bureau at Tataki Auckland Unlimited, highlighted the city’s revitalization, emphasizing the emergence of the New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC) and new accommodation options.
Auckland has witnessed significant growth in its hotel room capacity, with notable additions like Horizon by SkyCity, SOHO Hotel Auckland, JW Marriott, Intercontinental, Hotel Indigo, and more. Infrastructure projects such as the City Rail Link and Auckland Airport’s transport hub further enhance the city’s connectivity and accessibility, aligning with environmental sustainability goals.
The Auckland Convention Bureau plans to offer city tours for hosted buyers and familiarization activities for international guests. Attendees can explore various attractions, including the All Blacks Experience, Weta Workshop Unleashed, wine tasting on Waiheke Island, and sailing on the Waitemata Harbour. The MEETINGS welcome night at Eden Park on 10 June and the final celebration at the Viaduct Events Centre on 12 June promise memorable experiences.
Registrations for Day Buyers at MEETINGS 2025 on 11 and 12 June are still open. The event’s major partners include Air New Zealand, Tourism New Zealand Business Events, Auckland Convention Bureau, Auckland Showgrounds, EventsAIR, Peek Exhibition and Display, and Exhibition Hire. MEETINGS 2025 aims to facilitate networking opportunities and showcase the best of Auckland’s offerings to the global business events community.
As Auckland gears up to host MEETINGS 2025, the city’s evolution as a prime business events destination underscores its commitment to providing world-class facilities and experiences.
