We are going to go on an at least 10 months long trip and want to have a lot of freedom. We are thinking of doing some work here and there from Helpx in exchange for a place to stay and food. The way I am thinking is that we stay in one place until we feel we need to move on and then get in contact with someone new from Helpx, Couchsurfing or try to get in on something from Kilroy or other websites. Everything will be booked on the go as for flight tickets and finding a place to stay. As for money, we will both have around 10k each and we will be travelling in about a year.

We will only have a roughly travel route over the places we want to visit and the things we want to do. We are travelling to South-East Asia, Australia, New Zealand, California, Hawaii and South America. What are your thoughts on this? I would really love to hear experiences from anyone who have done this or any experienced traveller.
