Im flying from Australia to America and bought a small diamond necklace for my girlfriend as a gift. Its still in the box it came in but Im not sure if it would be safer in my check-in baggage or carry on. Ive heard a lot of horror stories about the TSA stealing stuff out of bags and something like jewelry seems like an easy take. What do you recommend?
