I want to travel to Australia, but since it’s so far from my home (NY) I want an extended travel to of a few months

Ive always wanted to visit Australia (especially Melbourne) and I feel the best way to do it is to have a long stay of about 3-6 months. However, financially Im not doing so well. Is there a website or somewhere I can look to find jobs for a situation like this?
