Ill soon be booking tickets to see friends in Cologne, Germany in January for two weeks. Ill be flying from Glasgow but will have to make a stop to Amsterdam first with a layover of 50 minutes then I can board to Cologne. It will be the exact same on the return back (albeit a 2 hr layover)

I check in online so that shouldnt be an issue and Im also only taking hand luggage so I dont have to worry about that. So a few questions: Will I have both destinations on my ticket? Will I have to go through security again? Will I make my flight in time with a 50 minute layover? Some of it is rather confusing to me as I have no background flying alone and this will be my first time overall since I was a child so any advice is welcome.
