Myself, my wife, and my 20 month old daughter will be visiting Australia for a family wedding in March, arriving in Melbourne March 24 and flying back out on April 11. Looking back I think I shouldve booked our incoming to Melbourne and outbound from Cairns, but unfortunately we didnt..
As for interests, adventuring, sight-seeing, zoos/aquariums & wildlife probably would interest us, along with local food-ventures. Are there good farm to table dining options to close out the days with? Drinking and nightclubs dont interest us anymore as weve got a baby that goes to bed around 8pm. This would probably be one of those "Once in a Lifetime" trips as we dont expect returning soon.
Tripping from Melbourne outwards, which places would be the most reasonable to try to hit given this time frame, from March 28/29 to April 10/11? Cairns
Brisbane / Gold Coast
Sydney
Dubbo (Western Plains Zoo & Zoofari Lodge)
Canberra
Tasmania
New Zealand
Which would make sense by air and by car?
Thanks in advance,
