Hello Reddit travelers!

I have two working holiday visas (WHV) – one for Australia and one for New Zealand. However, I applied for them around the same time and am now kicking myself for that as it seems like I wont be able to maximize my time in each country (a year in each upon activation), because both the activation dates are a few days apart – Jan 27 2017 . Thus, one will expire if I dont cut the other trip quite a few months short. I would really like to maximize my time in both countries, since it is virtually impossible for me to get another WHV for either country. Thus, does anyone know if I can change the activation date for my NZ WHV? It blatantly says that you cannot change the date on the Australia one, but I am hoping I may be able to extend the activation date on the NZ WHV to a later start date. If you have any advice on how to go about this, or have any background with this yourself, I would love to hear from you! I am planning to book my flight for this summer (June/July 2016) and am an American. I also have tons of background and a degree in agriculture and am planning to work on farms while there. Maybe this can help convince them to change it as well? All advice is appreciated! Thank you so much!!
