Hi, Ive been looking into a trip to Patagonia in February, but Im having trouble figuring out if there are cheaper ways to get there. Flights from Detroit to Santiago or Buenos Aires are ~$1400, from what I could find, and then require another flight to one of several towns in Patagonia for ~$400. I can fly to Nairobi, Cape Town, Nepal, Indonesia, etc. for less–the only more expensive flights seem to be to NZ/Australia. Anyone know if theres a cheaper route, such as flying into Sao Paulo or Lima and taking some South American airline down?
Also, if anyone knows which towns/locations would be best to book some Airbnbs in to see the most over 2-3 weeks Id appreciate it–is Torres del Paine NP+Los Glaciares NP two close areas that could take up 1-2 weeks alone with heavy hiking?Thank you
