I have a couple of upcoming trips to the US, so want to get a local SIM with data and calls (mainly data). Ive looked at a few of the suppliers but not really sure of the best one to get. Ill be travelling in Florida, Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Idaho and a few days in Vancouver.

Is there any restriction if Im not a US resident? (Im from Australia). Do I need a US address to sign up for a SIM? Can I just buy a SIM anywhere?
Will my phone work on all networks in the US? I have an HTC One M7 and from what I can see on the specs, I think it should work on both GSM and CDMA networks, so should be okay?
Given that Ill be in a few out of the way areas (Idaho, Utah, etc) are there some providers which have reasonable coverage without being super expensive?
Is there an easy way to keep my number/SIM for the next time I travel? It might be a few months between trips.
