I will try to keep this short.

Next month I am flying from Birmingham to Hong Kong with a changeover in Dubai with Emirates. I am spending 2 nights in Hong Kong before then leaving for New Zealand with Air New Zealand, to spend 14 nights before heading to Australia with Qantas for 2 nights. I then head back to Birmingham via Singapore for refuelling and a changeover in Dubai all with Emirates. I am finally looking for some travel insurance (something I probably should have done a few weeks ago). This is the first time I have traveled alone and organised everything myself, what kind of things should I looking for in a travel insurance policy? I know to get adequate cover for the cost of my flights, hotels and car hire, baggage, money and a decent amount for medical. Is there anything else? Can anyone offer advice on insurance and in general to someone who is traveling alone to the other side of the world?
