Hi there fellow explorers! Im soon to be moving to Australia to work my ass off non-stop and thought Id take a break first somewhere nice and cheap, settling on Thailand, but need your expert opinions on WHERE in Thailand to go!

Its been a hectic year for me, so Im really looking for somewhere nice and quiet to rent a place out for a month. Cheap, cheerful, with good food and hopefully some nice scenery, I want to get some work and writing done without being distracted by lots of noise and parties (dont want to feel like Im missing out as Im getting my head down!)

My friends have told me to go to Ko Chang as you can have your peace on one part of the island and have a bit of a party on the other end, and AirBnB prices for renting there seem pretty good! And Koh Samet seems pretty good, too! I think an island getaway would be what Im looking for, rather than staying in Bangkok and being convinced to get wasted and distracted instead of doing my work.

What do you all think? Any experiences of Ko Chang and Koh Samet?
