Advice for travelling China and North East Asia

Posted on November 19, 2015 | in Travellers Questions | by

Hey folks, Im going to China for a 10 day study exchange in Shanghai in January and I was looking to see what kind of ideas you might have for what I could/should do following the exchange. It ends on the 22nd of January and Id be looking to travel up until late February. As for specifications, my budget is a bit flexible and I mostly care about what could be a valued trip in the time constraints. At the moment, I really have my heart set on going to Taiwan/Taipei but apart from that Im really unsure whatd work in terms of time and value. Like Id love to travel to Japan, but Im not sure if thatd be too out of the way? Im just really quite confused as to what path the trip could take because of my inbackground in this part of the world.

So generally, if you were in the same position and had from the 22nd of January starting in Shanghai to the 25th of February to be back in Melbourne, Australia, and you had a reasonable budget, what path would you take?

Thank you so much for any advice!
