I’m travelling to Italy for a week during summer

Hi /fellow travellers !

Me and my boyfriend would love to travel without our parents for the first time, and since were french, Italy seems like a great choice. (Ive been too much to Spain and we like italian culture !) Well be going during mid-July and our goal is to enjoy architecture, food and our time together 🙂

Were thinking about travelling this way : Milan – 2 nights (the 2nd day of our trip will be a full day at Milan, the 3rd day well depart early to Cinque Terre)
Cinque Terre – 1 nights
Florence – 1 night
Rome – 2 nights My question is, is it possible to rest and enjoy Italy with this pattern or is it going too fast ? Do we need more time to visit Cinque Terre ? Shall we replace Florence and/or Milan by other cities (knowing I love shopping, but more like artisanal shopping, not clothes) ? I know Rome needs more time but we probably cant afford it 🙁 Feel free if you have any tips regarding those cities ! Were thinking about travelling with trains, buses, I heard in the "destinations of the week" thread that its a real hassle to drive and park in those cities. Also, I know theres already a subject about Italy but I dont know if Im allowed to post on someone elses
