My wife and I are heading to BC, Canada for 3 weeks of skiing in winter (Jan 17) next year from Australia. Weve got another week, where we want to do something else other than ski. Weve both been to the US before, my wife has been to SanFran, San Diego, New York and LA. Ive camped and driven from Vancouver down to Newport, Oregon, plus LA and San Fran.

Has anyone got any ideas or ideas for how to spend a week in January somewhere in the west of the US? Weve big fans of hiking and nature, but winter makes it a bit harder.
