So im trying desperately to cancel and get a refund for a flight I purchased from JFK to Dusseldorf, since that was the best deal I found weeks ago, despite that I live in NJ and EWR is where I ideally want to go. Added to that, Im not fond of the 12-13 hour layover in Dublin and being stuck. Low and behold, I find a cheaper nonstop flight from EWR to DUS with Lufthansa that I desperately want to book instead. Is there anyone put there that can help with some kind of correct combination of words or rules that can help me successfully get a refund from Orbitz when I used Allianz insurance with Aer Lingus airline?
