I am pregnant with my second kid. My husband and I havent taken more than a night or two away from #1 since he was born almost 3 years ago. Wed like to getaway before kid the second makes her appearance.

We are both big travelers, and we got about a fair bit before the kid came along (and even since). All over Europe, much of Asia, a lot of the East Coast. We took our last babymoon in South America and Antarctica. Epic, but expensive and very time consuming.

Were in NYC, and were looking for somewhere with a reasonable flight (nothing more than 12 hours, preferably less); nice spa options; clean and safe water; access to not-scary medical if I need it (this pregnancys been a little rougher than the last); and that we havent been before. Were likely to go end of Jan/Feb for 4-7 days.

Weve kicked around Iceland or the Azores (this spa hotel caught our attention). Other ideas are somewhere in the BVI or Central America, although Im a little concerned about medical access. There are also places in the South, like Savannah, Key West, etc., that weve never been to and could be cool.

Anyone have any ideas or ideas? I know /fellow travellers usually hates these "where should I go" posts, but Im really at a bit of a loss, and Im hoping you guys can help me. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated, and if you need any additional information or Ive left anything else, please just let me know and Ill fill in the blanks.
