Im planning a trip from the US to China sometime next year, and the airline choices I have are in the post title. My family has flown United as long as I can remember, and I have rewards points and all, but Ive been really disappointed in their reliability lately. The last two times Ive flown United were solely because of travel vouchers they gave me for screwing up previous trips (one time the flight was cancelled because the pilot was somehow in another city…derp). Southwest is now my go-to domestic airline and if I could, Id fly them internationally too. The only reason Im considering United again is because I assume American and Delta are probably just as bad, plus Id get to knock flying on a Dreamliner off my bucket list by going with United.

What has been your experience? Are the other two airlines more reliable than United, or just as bad?
