How does this Italy + Paris Honeymoon itinerary look

Posted on December 8, 2015 | in Travellers Questions | by

Im planning my honeymoon for May 2016, and at this point we are working on how many days/nights to stay in different cities.
We like food, history, art and exploring on foot.

We are flying from the U.S. to FCO, and flying out of CDG.

Tue 5/3: arrive in Rome at 9:45 AM

Wed 5/4: Rome

Thu 5/5: Rome

Fri 5/6: Rome / [train to] Florence

Sat 5/7: Florence

Sun 5/8: Florence

Mon 5/9: Florence

Tue 5/10: Florence / [train to] Venice

Wed 5/11: Venice

Thu 5/12: Venice / [fly to] Paris

Fri 5/13: Paris

Sat 5/14: Paris

Sun 5/15: Paris

Mon 5/16: fly home

Does this look spaced out well enough so that it is at least somewhat relaxed? We were interested in visiting Cinque Terre, but I left it out because I was worried that it would make things a bit hectic. However, Im willing to switch things around if you have any better ideas!

Are we spending enough time in Rome to include a trip to the Vatican somewhere in there? Any other day trips we should consider?

Thanks for your help!
