Reddit, as part of medical school, I get to plan an 8 week elective anywhere in the world! Im hoping some of you might help me narrow down the destinations…

My requirements:

1) Must speak English as a primary or common language. Unfortunately I wont have time to learn another language, and it is essential to communicate at a decent level with all/most patients

2) Ideally warm. Im from England, living in the North East. Its 3c, its raining, its windy. I would love to enjoy some warm weather whilst away!

3) Not Europe – I can do Europe any time.

4) Not the US, Canada, Australia or New Zealand – their medical system is very well developed. Id like to find somewhere where I could actually be of use, and see a new side to medicine.
