I just booked to go to new zealand for the first time next March, as part of my working holiday visa in Australia. I am landing in Queenstown and departing to Fiji from Auckland. For a solo traveller which would be the best option, hire a car to go around the south island and finally spend some time on north island or do the Kiwi background from Queenstown and end up in Auckland? Does the Kiwi background take you through the nicest places of the south island? Note: 23M here so wouldnt mind the party vibe on the kiwi background
